A big “just in time for Christmas” homecoming has welcomed the 1107th Aviation Group back to Springfield. The group has been in Kuwait for most of the last year, although some members went to Iraq and Afghanistan. The National Guard unit has about 150 soldiers. It also was in the Middle East in 2006.
