Anheuser-Busch and Major League Baseball are in a court fight in which baseball accuses the brewer of reneging on a deal to make baseball the number one sports sponsorship for Anheuser-Busch. A-B has been the official bear of major league baseball for decades. But the company also has signed a major sponsorship deal to make Bud Light the official beer of the National Football League starting next year.
Baseball says that deal violates baseball’s exclusivity sponsorship deal with the brewery. Anheuser-Busch says baseball just wants more money.
A judge has scheduled a hearing for January 7th.
