MU’s Egnew named 1st Team All-American

December 15, 2010 By Bill Pollock

Missouri Tiger junior TE Michael Egnew has become the third MU tight end in the last four years to win 1st-Team All-America status.  Egnew was honored just last week by the Walter Camp Football Foundation, as a first team All-American and now Egnew is apart of the AP All-America team.

Egnew leads all of the nation’s tight ends with 83 receptions, and his 698 receiving yards is also second-most among all tight ends. Egnew burst on the scene this year against San Diego State. There he had 13 catches for 145 yards. Egnew also had a two-touchdown game against Colorado, when he had six catches for 52 yards.
