Gov. appoints new Christian County Assessor

December 3, 2010 By admin

His predecessor will soon go to prison for cheating the county by filing false property assessment forms. Newly appointed Christian County Assessor David Stokely says the actions of Sandra Bryant-Littles will help him set some goals for the office.

“The obvious thing would be trust and faith of the taxpayers of the county needs to be restored and people need to receive fair treatment in their assessments for their various property taxes,”

Stokely was appointed by the governor to fill the open position. The Christian County farmer and former college instructor was sworn in Friday morning.

Bryant-Littles left the office after she admitted in court to filing false assessment forms on her own property.
