Kansas City Mayor Mark Funkhouser has a beef with Kansas.
He accuses his neighbors to the West of poaching jobs from Missouri. And Funkhouser blames the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Funkhouser is angry with the chamber for endorsing a Kansas program…Promoting Employment Across Kansas. Funkhouser says the program only encourages businesses on the other side of the Kansas City metro area to steal business from the Missouri side. Funkhouser says the program might help Kansas, but it won’t do anything to foster overall job growth in the metropolitan area.
