University of Missouri borrows what it cannot get from the state

November 23, 2010 By admin

The University of Missouri is borrowing $265 million to pay for projects the state can’t pay for or has not appropriated money for in several years. About $52 million of the bonds will be used for a patient care tower at the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center in Columbia. Another $30 million will go for a geothermal energy project at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla.
