Liquor control officer pleads guilty to bribery

November 16, 2010 By [email protected]

A former St. Louis city liquor control officer has pleaded guilty to federal bribery charges. James Allen Morgan had asked applicants for liquor licenses to hire him as a tavern manager in return for his help in getting licenses. He then told the applicant that he would go away for a payment of $1,000. He’ll be sentenced later.
