A meerkat kidnapped from the Kansas City zoo has been left at a pet store in Overland Park, Kansas. Zoo officials tell the Kansas City Star the thief probably found out that meerkats are not nearly as cute in person as they appear to be on TV or in photographs. They’re really pretty nasty critters and the director of the zoo tells the newspaper he can’t belief the thief isn’t bleeding profusely.
The meerkat was is back with his group at the zoo, doing fine.
