The potential loss of 150 jobs and the possibility that 200 more could be added leads St. Louis County to support a $61 million dollar bond issue and tax abatements for a drug manufacturer.
Gallus Bio-pharmaceuticals would benefit. It wants to buy Johnson and Johnson’s plant in the county by the end of the year. It plans to keep the 150 employees that work there now and add 200 more.
