Central Missouri is the host of one half of the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament. The Jennies will face the winner of the first round game between Truman State (10-3-5) and Midwestern State (16-3) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Truman and Midwestern start today at 1pm.

Central Missouri (18-0) defeated Truman State 2-0 on Thursday on the road. It was the first time since 2006 that UCM has won at Kirksville and also the third consecutive victory over TSU for the Jennies.

The Bulldogs of Truman State finished the 2010 regular season with a 10-3-5 overall record and a 9-2-5 MIAA mark. They went 6-1-1 as the home team and 4-1-4 on the road. Truman State has outscored its opponents 21-10 and outsot them 302-177. Olivia Hayes is leading the team with 19 points, six goals and seven assists. She has also taken 68 shots, 30 of them on goal. Jayne Grisham and Emily Bozdeck have shared time in net for the Bulldogs, with Grisham giving up seven goals and saving 31 shots.

The Mustangs of Midwestern State ended the regular season 16-3 overall and 10-1 in the Lone Star Conference. They are also 8-1 as the home team and 5-1 as the visitors. Midwestern State has outshot its opponents 324-162 and outscored them 40-12. Lindsay Pritchard and Kelsey Hill have scored a team-high 10 goals and five assists each. Mallory Whitworth has played the majority of the minutes in net, allowing 10 goals and saving 54 shots whiling shutting out eight opponents.
