The Nebraska women’s soccer team tallied three first half goals on their way to a 4-1 victory over the defending Big 12 champion Missouri Tigers in the opening round of the Big 12 Championships Wednesday afternoon in San Antonio.

Back in early October, NU rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to beat the Tigers 4-2. In this game, playing in wind and rain, NU jumped on the Tigers getting goals from sophomore All-Big 12 selections Jordan Jackson and Big 12 offensive player of the year, Morgan Marlborough. After Mizzou cut the lead to 2-1, Jaclyn White scored late in the first half.

The clincher came just seven minutes into the second half when freshman Stacy Bartels scored for NU. Mizzou finishes the season 7-10-2.
