Eric Czerniewski drops back to pass against Missouri Southern. UCM Athletics

Central Missouri quarterback Eric Czerniewski was named the MIAA Conference’s offensive player of the week. Czerniewski threw for 367 yards and four touchdowns against the top pass defense in the MIAA on Saturday, going 31-of-47 for the 34-21 win against MSSU.

He helped the Mules come from behind early in the game, tying it at seven on an 11-yard TD strike to Anthony Stewart with 9:18 left in the first. He put the game away early in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard TD pass to Jamorris Warren in the corner of the endzone to make it 31-14 with 9:47 remaining.

It was Czerniewski’s 16th career 300-yard game, and the eighth this season. He also broke the school record held by Toby Korrodi with the first of his four TD passes, bringing his total to 30 at that point (It is now 33).
