One of the candidates for state senate in a western Missouri district has died. But the name of Bennie Hatfield will remain on the ballot as the Constitution Party’s candidate because the ballots already had been printed when he died last week.
Hatfield was running against Republican Mike Parson for the seat held by Senator Delbert Scott of Lowry City. Scott cannot seek re-election because of term limits.
