Following Saturday night’s win over previously #1 Oklahoma, the Missouri Tigers moved up from 11th to 6th in this week’s BCS Standings. Meanwhile, OU dropped to 9th, while Auburn grabs the top spot, followed by Oregon, Boise State, TCU and then Michigan State.

The good news for the Tigers is that in two of the six computer rankings, Mizzou is ranked number one and second in three others, along with a third place and 10th place ranking. The highest and lowest computer ranking is thrown out, so Mizzou is averaging a computer ranking of 2nd in the country, behind Auburn.

However, the bad news is that in the Harris and Coaches Poll, the Tigers are eighth and that makes up 2/3 of the BCS Standings. There is no doubt the strength of schedule is working on the side of the Tigers, they now must continue to wow the humans in this voting process.

They’ll have another chance this Saturday when they travel to Lincoln, where the Huskers are ranked 14th in this week’s BCS Standings.
