Authorities issue alert about thefts at parks

September 27, 2010 By admin

St. Louis County authorities warn residents to be careful with their belongings when they travel to enjoy area parks.

Police says that eight vehicles have been broken into the past two Saturdays at the Dog Museum parking lot the past two Saturdays. A purse and electronics have been taken. Police say thieves often target cars at area parks, because people leave belongings in their cars and are away from them for a long period of time as they exercise or take their dogs for a walk.
