Harley staying put, won’t come to KC

September 4, 2010 By admin

Forget the move of Harley-Davidson from Milwaukee to Kansas City.

The motorcycle manufacturer has reached a proposed labor agreement with its unions which should preserve the 13-Hundred jobs in Wisconsin. Harly had threatened to move to another city, perhaps Kansas City, if it didn’t get the wage and benefit concessions it wanted. No one is revealing details about the agreement. The company will only say that it gives it the flexibility to remain competitive. Union members vote on it September 13th.
