Missouri linebacker arrested

August 24, 2010 By Bill Pollock

Will Ebner

Missouri linebacker Will Ebner was arrested by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department early Sunday morning on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Ebner was arrested sometime after 1 a.m. after the car he was driving was swerving.

Ebner’s arrest report said he had bloodshot eyes and was slurring his words. He also failed a breath alcohol test. The junior was later released on bond of $500. Ebner is 20 years old. Ebner has been recovering for over a week from a hamstring pull. Ebner was the No. 2 middle linebacker behind Luke Lambert.

A team spokesman says any disciplinary action will be handled internally by the team.
