Bates City man’s body recovered from Truman Lake

August 24, 2010 By Jessica Machetta

A West-Central Missouri man has drowned while fishing on Truman Lake. The Missouri Water Patrol says 55-year-old Donald Miles, Bates City, was using 1988-model utility boat on a fishing trip Saturday. When he did not return, an “overdue boater” report was filed Monday and the Water Patrol says Miles’ body was recovered from three feet of water in Truman’s Blaylock Lake Cove.
