While NASCAR owner Jack Roush recovers from his injuries following a plane crash in Wisconsin, he spirits were surely lifted on Sunday when two of his drivers finished first and third at Pocono Raceway on Sunday. Columbia native Carl Edwards finished third, while teammate Greg Biffle finished ahead of Tony Steward to snap a personal 64 race winless slump.

Roush, who is recovering in the Mayo Clinic released a statement after the race saying, “They’ve done a wonderful job, and this is just the beginning of the rewards that have resulted from all of their hard work.” Biffle hasn’t won since he took the first two races of the 2008 Chase for the Cup races.

Biffle is now 11th and Edwards 10th in the Cup Standings and with five races to go before the Chase, both drivers have a great shot at securing one of the 12 spots.
