Jose Bautista, who back in 2004, played 13 games with the Royals as a rookie returned bigger and better than ever. He hit his 26th home run, which leads the majors, and drove in five runs as the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Royals 13-1 Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium.

Anthony Lerew lasted just 1.1 innings after taking a line drive to the ribs and bicep.  He was lifted and charged with four earned runs.  In fact, every one of KC’s pitchers gave up runs in the landslide win for Toronto.  The Royals gave up two runs in each of the first three innings and two more in the ninth after a big five run inning.

In addition to Bautista’s big game, former Royals’ catcher John Buck went 3 for 5 with an RBI and three runs scored.
