While it may take some time to work out the details of his first NFL contract, The Rams and No. 1 draft pick Sam Bradford started contract talks late last week and the numbers could be staggering.

The St. Louis Post Dispatch is reporting that a team official said don’t expect a done deal anytime soon and with the Rams set to open up camp on July 28th, I’m not sure if that means Bradford will or will not miss the first days of camp.

Some reports have Bradford’s guaranteed money ranging in the $45-$50 million range which would be higher than what the Detroit Lions signed quarterback Matt Stafford to, which was a guaranteed contract of almost $42 million in a six year deal.
