Brad Nurski of St. Joseph beat Eldon’s Matt Miller 2up in the 36 hole match play final of the 103 Missouri Amateur Championship at Twin Oaks Country Club in Springfield. Nurski, who lost out to Miller last year in a playoff at the stroke play championship, got a bit of revenge by winning seven of the final 11 holes to help overcome a three hole deficit after the first 18.

Miller is a junior at Central Missouri University. He birdied the 7th, 10th, and 13th holes and then parred the 14th to go up 3.

In the second 18, Miller built his lead to 4 after making birdies on the 3rd and 4th with just 11 holes to play. However Nurski turned it around quick wiht birdies on the 8th and 9th to cut the lead to two. Then pars on 11th and 12th and a birdie on 13 gave Nurski the lead.

With the match squared after the 15th, Nurski took the lead with a birdie on the 16th and clinches with a par on the 18th.
