Missourians wanting to see if that insurance company soliciting their business is on the up-and-up can quickly check the complaint rate against that company and about 12-hundred more. Eleven thousand complaints have been filed against the insurance companies doing business in Missouri in the last three years. The state insurance department has posted a complaint index on its webpage

The scores are based on the number of complaints the department investigates. The index also lists complaints for home, life, and health insurance. it’s based on the number of complaints compared to the company size..

The website also lets consumers check on whether a company is licensed to do business in Missouri and whether agents are licensed, too. And a complaint form is just a click away.
