Jim Williams, a columnist for the Washington Examiner, wrote an article saying the Big East is not about to let the Big Ten cherry pick some of their teams, but instead interested in adding Big 12 schools that would not go to the Pac 10 or Big Ten, including Missouri.

Williams said he spoke with officials from four Big East schools and they all said the same thing, that if Mizzou, KU, K-State and/or Iowa State all wanted to talk, they would be willing to listen.

There has also been rumors that Central Florida and Memphis from Conference USA are also interested in joining the Big East. If all the schools fell in line, the Big East would become a 12 team football conference and 20 team basketball conference where championship games could be rotated in cities including St. Louis and Kansas City.
