Sheryl Crow, born and raised in Kennett, Mo., returns to her home state to perform this summer.

One of Missouri’s favorite native daughters, Sheryl Crow, is slated to perform along with seven other concerts.

Crow’s soon-to-be-released album, titled “100 Miles From Memphis,” makes reference to her hometown of Kennett, Missouri. The album will feature music reminiscent of the soul sounds Crow used to listen to on the radio while growing up. She’s on the road this summer to promote the new album along with the debut of a new touring band stopping at the Missouri State Fair for her Aug. 21 performance.

“Sheryl Crow performing on the final Saturday in front of fans from her home state will surely be a memorable experience,” Missouri State Fair Director Mark Wolfe says.

Opening for Crow will be Colbie Caillat. Tickets for the concert start at $25.

Three concerts start at $10 including Eli Young Band with Candy Coburn, who will perform Opening Day, Thursday, Aug. 12.

Other concerts offering a $10 ticket are Katharine McPhee with Bomshel on Sunday, Aug. 15, and the Country Gold Tour on Wednesday, Aug. 18. Legends performing in the Country Gold show are Leroy Van Dyke, Moe Bandy, Helen Cornelius, The Gatlin Brothers (Steve and Rudy), Jimmy Fortune, Gene Watson, David Frizzell and Narvel Felts.
