After an offensive onslaught the day before, there be no runs for the Kansas City Royals as they took on the Boston Red Sox last night at Fenway Park. The BoSox would shut out the Royals 1-0 and end their three game winning streak.

Boston’s Clay Buccholz would give up just four hits over his seven innings of work. He would strike out four and also walk four.

Last year’s AL Cy Young Award winner Zac Greinke pitched another good game, but once again had no offensive support. He went six innings, giving up just the one run on five hits. He is now 1-6 on the season with an ERA of 3.39.

Bruce Chen will get the start this afternoon as the two teams will finish up their four game series. Jon Lester will start for Boston.

First pitch will be at 12:35 this afternoon.
