The Saint Louis University Billiken baseball team is headed to the Atlantic 10 Conference championship game after a thrilling come from behind 16-11 win this afternoon in Camden, New Jersey against Fordham. Number five St. Louis will now take on number one Charlotte tomorrow morning for the title.
The Rams would jump out to a quick 5-0 lead before the Billikens would start their comeback in the third. Saint Louis would score four in the third and five in the fourth to take a 9-5 lead.
The Billikens would add to their lead with two more in the top of the sixth to extend the lead to 11-5. Fordham was not done as they would put across three runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning.
Saint Louis would put runs across in the eighth and ninth to pull away for good. Fordham would score three in the bottom of the ninth, but too little too late.
The Billikens will take on the 49ers tomorrow morning at 11:00.
