For the first time in the history of the softball program at the University of Missouri, they will be the host site for this weekend’s NCAA Super Regional. The number nine seeded Tigers will be taking on the Oregon Ducks in a best of three series that will start on Saturday at University Field.

The first game will start at 1:30 on Saturday afternoon with game two set for noon on Sunday. If necessary, the third game would start at 2:30 on Sunday.

The Tigers advanced to the Super Regional for the third consecutive season after wins this weekend against Creighton and Illinois.

Oregon is not ranked in the NCAA tournament, but ranked number 20 in the nation, comes to the Super Regional after beating Auburn once and Georgia Tech twice.

The Tigers and Ducks have played each other only three times. Mizzou leads the series 2-1.

This weekend’s Super Regional will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks.
