While the future of the Tour of Missouri is in limbo as race organizers look for private or corporate funding, the bike racing world has had another wrench thrown into i’s publicity and marketing wheel with Floyd Landis making extraordinary allegations against Lance Armstrong.

Landis the guy who won the Tour de France in 2006 by incredible measures, then tested positive for a synthetic testosterone. He angrily refuted the failed drug test and was barred from cycling for two years. Now, after all this time, he says he wants to clear his conscience and he’s bringing others down with him.

As far as Landis, you’re a fraud. The majority of your sport is a fraud. If you got caught, you should have fessed up right away. Instead, you tried to dispute a reliable test and now look like a bigger idiot. Now, in wanted to make yourself feel better, you’re bringing other down around you.

Among his claims, Landis says fellow racers, including Lance Armstrong also were involved in doping. Landis accused George Hincapie who won a Tour of Missouri race, Live Leipheimer and David Zabriskie.

The leaders of the IOC and World Anti-Doping Agency said Landis should provide proof. For more on the story, click here.
