Missouri picked up its ninth-straight win over Nebraska and swept the Huskers for the third-consecutive season as it took a 6-5 victory in Sunday’s series finale at Taylor Stadium. It was the Tigers’ first three-game sweep of a Big 12 Conference opponent since last year’s series with the Cornhuskers.

With the victory, the Tigers improve to 27-22 on the season and 10-13 in the Big 12 Conference and they have a 2.5 game lead over Oklahoma State and a 1/2 game lead over Baylor for 7th place in the standings. The top eight teams make the Big 12 tournament. There are only 10 schools that field baseball teams. (Colorado and Iowa State do not)

Missouri will close out the regular season next weekend with a three-game series with Texas. Game one of the series is set for 6 p.m. on Friday, with games to follow at 2 p.m. on Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday. The Big 12 tournament begins on Wednesday, May 26th.
