The fifth seeded Missouri Tigers didn’t have enough left falling short in their attempt to win back-to-back Big 12 Championships, as they fell to No. 2 seed Oklahoma by a 9-0 in the title game.

Kristin Nottelmann took the loss, dropping to 19-7 on the year. The Tigers were held to just hits, those coming Ashley Fleming, Gina Schneider and Catherine Lee.

OU came out in the first inning to take a 3-0 thanks to a three run homer from Lindsey Vandever. In the second, Missouri had the bases loaded after two walks and an error with one out, but the Sooner got a strikeout and groundout to end the threat. Later in the fourth, Megan Christopher was thrown out at home tyring to score on a double by Schneider.

Up 5-0, the Sooners finished the game off with a four-run sixth. Jana Hainey, Jenna Marston, Rhea Taylor and Ashley Fleming were selected to the All-Big 12 Tournament team. The Tigers tied Oklahoma for the most selections with four.

Missouri now looks toward the NCAA Regionals, as they wait to find out their seed and where they’ll be playing next weekend. The NCAA Selection Show airs tonight on ESPNU at 9 p.m. CT.
