Missouri Western A.D. reassigned

May 11, 2010 By Bill Pollock

Missouri Western University shook up it’s athletic department after athletic director Dave Williams was arrested for drunken driving early Saturday. Williams has been “temporarily” reassigned within the department.

Dan Nicoson, the VP for university advancement was named the interim A.D. while Williams will continue to oversee certain athletic projects. Williams had a strong hand in helping secure the St. Joseph campus as the new home for the Kansas City Chiefs summer training camp.

According to an article by the News-Press, Williams was arrested at 1am in Buchanan County. Williams failed four of five field sobriety tests and refused a breath test. After he was taken into custody, his BAC was more than twice the legal limit.
