SLU basketball players questioned in alleged sexual assault

May 6, 2010 By Bill Pollock

St. Louis police have questioned three Saint Louis University men’s basketball players about an alleged sexual assault that took place early Saturday morning at a college campus apartment. A 20 year student involved in the alleged attack, said she was assaulted by two people she knew.

A defense attorney for the three basketball players claim they are innoncent and that they are fully cooperating with police on this matter.

Regardless or in addition to any possible charges that may or may not stem from this investigation, the University has a policy as well for handing out its own discipline. Actions could include suspensions or dismissals. Neither University officials or Head coach Rick Majerus would not comment at this time.
