The 11th ranked University of Central Missouri Mules golf team won their first ever NCAA Super Regional Championship with a three-round score of 904 (+40) at the Territory Golf Club in Duncan, Oklahoma.

The Mules will advance to the NCAA-II Championships for the second consecutive season. Senior Justin Yoder also became the first player in school history to win an individual region title, shooting a 219 (+3). He shot an opening round 68, followed by 78 and 73 scores.

In addition to Yoder’s accomplishments, Brad Nipper of Southwest Baptist finished tied for 4th. Thomas Hay of Drury finished tied for 12th.

The top five teams in the each of the four Super Regionals qualified for the NCAA-II Championship in Noblesville, Indiana on May 18-21 at Sagamore Golf Club. It is the seventh time in school history that UCM has qualified for the championships (1980, 1981, 1994, 1995, 2002, and 2009), and the fifth time under Head Coach Tim Poe.
