The state senate goes along with a plan to make the fake marijuana substance K-2 illegal. But it thinks those who possess only small amounts should not become convicted felons.
Senator Jolie Justus of Kansas City says people who possess about an ounce or less should be charged only with misdemeanors. But Columbia Senator Kurt Schafer argued people who get high even on small amounts of K2 become a danger to themselves and others in their workplace.
