Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia was on last night, tossing seven scoreless innings allowing just four hits and a walk while striking out five as the Cardinals won their fourth in a row and third straight over Atlanta 6-0.

Garcia got plenty of offensive support, as the bats are just beating up on Atlanta pitching. The Braves are awful. Albert Pujols had an RBI to give him 19 on the year and David Freese went 2 for 3 with two RBIs. He’s up to 12 in the first month.

The the real story this first month has been the starting pitching for the Cardinals. They have combined for an ERA of 2.56 while opening up a 4.5 game lead in the division. Adam Wainwright looks to keep it going today a 12:40 start to wrap up this series with Atlanta.

Tony LaRussa and Garcia talk about Yadier Molina calling the game and they comment on the job Garcia and the rest of the rotation has done this year.
