Royals come up short again

April 28, 2010 By Bill Pollock

The Royals were beat Wednesday afternoon by Seattle 6-5. Gil Meche was roughed up again with his ERA at 10.13. The Royals have only won one series so far in the first month of the season.

After David DeJesus homered in the first, Seattle scored five straight runs off Meche in six innings. In the bottom of the sixth the Royals scored four all coming after two outs to tie the game at 5-5 thanks to a two out triple from Mitch Maier. Brad Thomspson gave up a run in the 8th for the loss…again, another bullpen defeat.
