The spring season for the Mizzou Tiger football team will come to a close this afternoon with the annual Black and Gold game.  It should be a Chamber of Commerce weather day at Memorial Stadium / Faurot Field with kick off set for 1:00.

This scrimmage brings to a close a busy spring season for the Tigers.  Mizzou head coach Gary Pinkel says that this scrimmage, which will be like a game day situation, will be important for many players on the team.  He says with so many starting positions being up for grabs, this will be the time for players to step to the front.

The Mizzou Tigers hit the practice field three times this week in preparation for their last scrimmage.  The Tigers will be back on the practice field starting in August.

Admission to the game is $3.00 or three cans of food.  All of the food that is donated is going to be given to the Central Missouri Food Bank.

In addition to the Black and Gold game, the number 11 Mizzou Tiger softball team will be taking on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at 2:00 at University Field.  The Mizzou baseball team will be taking on the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 1:00 at Taylor Stadium.
