The Missouri Mavericks who won their first ever playoff series over Mississippi, now has their backs against the wall in their second round series against Rapid City after the Rush beat the Mavs 2-1 to grab a two games to none lead in their best of five series.

The top seeded Rush scored on a a power-play goal five minutes into the third period which held up to be the game winner after Bill Vandermeer tied the game at 1-1 with a goal late in the second period. After getting manhandled in the first game Saturday night, a 5-1 loss, the Mavericks threw everything they had at the Rush outshooting them 39-25.

Missouri will now have to beat the Rush three straight games on their home ice if they hope to continue their post-season run.
