The Kansas City Royals brought their bats to work yesterday as they hammer out 15 hits and eight runs and beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 8-4.  This game also featured the longest outing of spring training for Royals starter and Cy Young Award winner Zack Greinke.

Greinke would throw for 5 2/3 innings, giving up four runs on and seven hits.  He would also strike out three, while giving up just one walk.

The Royal bat attack was led by Billy Butler who had three hits and an RBI single.  Kila Ka’aihue would have two hits, one of which was a solo home run, and two RBI’s on the day.

Rick Ankiel will play in his first game since March 11th when the Royals continue Cactus League play with a game this afternoon against the Oakland Athletics.  Bryan Bullington will get the start for Kansas City.  First pitch is set for 3:05.
