The St. Louis Cardinals started out fast in their spring training game yesterday scoring three runs in the first inning against the Florida Marlins, but it would not be enough as the Marlins beat the Cardinals 7-4.  The Cardinals are now 10-11 in spring training baseball.

Matt Holliday would drive in two of the three runs in the first with an RBI double.  Matt Pagnozzi and Nick Stavinoha would also contribute to the Cardinal attack as they each had two hits on the day.

Cards starter Adam Wainwright would throw for six innings, giving up five runs, four of those earned, on eight hits.  Adam Ottavino would follow Wainright, and would allow two runs on three hits.

The Cardinals will send Brad Penny to the mound today as they will once again take on the Marlins.  Albert Pujols is also expected to be in the starting lineup as he continues to battle a sore lower back.  Game time is 12:05.
