On this week’s podcast, I thought I would focus on us weekend warriors. With the weather warming up, I thought it would be good to get some tips on what we can do to get in better shape. So I got a call from Mitzi Dulan, the nutritionist for the Chiefs and the Royals.
She says 80% of weight loss has more to do with your diet than the exercise. She admits exercise and the proper diet is the optimal way to go, but she’ll give us tips on how to eat better and what foods to stay away from. The good part is we don’t have to give up our favorite foods either!
She is the co-author of the book The All-Pro Diet that she wrote with ex-Chief Tony Gonzalez. As she gets ready to head down to Arizona to catch up with the Royals, she also gives us some insight into which players follow her plan and others who…maybe not so much.
