Sen. Claire McCaskill took to the Senate today to express her frustration with what she calls “political games being played by Republicans in Congress this week.”
Senate Republicans objected to allowing Senate committees to hold hearings this afternoon, forcing a number of long-scheduled hearings to be cancelled, McCaskill’s office says.
“Among those cancelled today is a Subcommittee on Contracting Oversight hearing chaired by Claire. Officials from the Departments of Defense and State were scheduled to testify at the hearing regarding police training contracts in Afghanistan.”
