Paul Kariya’s 400th goal of his career was the winner as the Blues picked up their eighth victory in 11 games by beating the Rangers 4-3 at Madison Square Garden. The Blues are now five points behind the Detroit Red Wings for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Blues are a solid team on the road where they are 21-11-4 record away from home. Goalie Ty Conklin, who made 26 saves to pick up the win, but it was New York’s Henrik Lundqvist’s off night that led to the Blues’ win. St. Louis made just 16 shots on goal, but scored four on their first 14.
