It is one and done for the Saint Louis University Billikens as they lose in the quarterfinal round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament to Rhode Island.  Saint Louis will now have to wait and see, if and when they will continue playing basketball in a post season tournament.

The Billikens would take an early 3-0 lead thanks to a 3 point shot from Kwamain Mitchell, but things would change after that.  The game would be tied at 8, before the Rams would hold the Billikens scoreless for more than six minutes in the first half.

Saint Louis would start to score and would get as close as 25-18 in the first half.  But the Rhode Island defense would clamp down again, allowing the Bills just one free throw over the last four minutes of the first half.  Rhode Island went into the locker room with a 28-19 lead.

In the second half, Saint Louis would get as close as 32-21 before Rhode Island would pull away for good.  With about 12 minutes to play in the game, the Rams would open up a 45-27 lead.  SLU would try and make a comeback later in the second half, but would only get as close as 48-36.

The Billikens were led in scoring by Mitchell who had 18 points.  Willie Reed and Kyle Cassity would each finish the game with seven points each.

20-11 Saint Louis University must now wait to see where they will play next.  They are most likely not going to play in the NCAA Tournament, but they could see action in either the NIT or two other post season tournaments.
