Did Rams tip their hand as to who they will pick in the draft?

March 9, 2010 By Bill Pollock

The Rams signed a new defensive tackle Monday and with the addition of veteran quarterback Jay Feely, I think the Rams are leaning to taking a quarterback with the first round pick in the 2010 draft.

Head coach Steve Spagnuolo will be reunited with veteran defensive tackle Fred Robbins, who has spent his last six seasons with the New York Giants. Robbins signed a three-year deal with St. Louis. That would lead me to believe with Robbins on board, the Rams may look at quarterback such as a Sam Bradford.

At the same time, the Rams may be looking for new defensive ends. Leonard Little and James Hall, who combined to start 27 of 32 games at defensive end last season for the Rams, are making free agent trips to the Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints.

If they both bolt, that leaves them with Chris Long as an end. Could it also be possible the Rams move Adam Carriker to defensive end and draft Suh to play inside with Robbins? Perhaps I’m not so sure of the Rams’ next move after all?
