I would liken Carl Edwards’ antics on Sunday to those of a pitcher who throws a beanball to an opposing hitter and hits him in the head instead of the back. Just like the pitcher, Edwards wanted to send a message on Sunday…it just happened to be the wrong one.

Edwards and Brad Keslowski have quite a feud going on between the two of them. Last year at Talledega, Keslowski bumped Edwards causing him to flip and giving Keslowski the win. Earlier in the race at Atlanta, Keslowski bumped Edwards causing him to crash and spend most of the day in the garage area. Edwards came back on the track down 156 laps and at the end of the race returned the favor to Keslowski sending his #12 car end over end as it slammed into the barrier in front of the grandstand before coming to rest on its wheels.

Keslowski was alright after the crash and said, “That’s not cool…he could have killed someone in the grandstands.” NASCAR will wait until at least today on whether or not to disclipline Edwards. On his Facebook page, Edwards wrote, “My options: Considering that Brad wrecks me with no regard for anyones safety or hard work, should I: A-Keep letting him wreck me? B-Confront him after the race? C-Wait til bristol and collect other cars? or D-Take care of it now? I want to be clear that I was surprised at his flight and very relieved when he walked away. Every person has to decide what code they want to live by and hopefully this explains mine.”
