Former Rams number one draft pick and All Pro left tackle Orlando Pace was waived by the Chicago Bears after just one season. He signed a three year deal with the Bears the same day they pulled off the Jay Cutler trade, but Pace played in just 11 games and didn’t provide the protection they needed for Cutler who threw a league high 26 interceptions.

Pace played the last couple of years with the Rams with a lot of injuries and missed a lot of time, but the Bears took a chance on him staying healthy this year. Pace hinted that retirement could be in his future. He had a great career in St. Louis in his prime helping the Rams get to two Super Bowls and winning one. He provided a lot of protection during Kurt Warner’s “Greatest Show On Turf” run.
