Mizzou Basketball Head Coach Mike Anderson announced on Monday that junior forward Justin Safford will continue his rehabilitation and not undergo season-ending knee surgery at this time.

“Justin is doing great with his rehabilitation and it’s something we are going to keep an eye on,” Head Coach Mike Anderson said. “What that means for this season, we’ll just have to wait and see.”

Safford suffered the injury at the 13:10 mark of the first half in a Feb. 24 win against Colorado. The Bloomington, Ill., native scored eight points in the first seven minutes of the ball game and is averaging 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds in 20.0 minutes per game for the Tigers this season.

Missouri returns to action on Tuesday night at Iowa State Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
