Fresh off their win over number 15 Texas on Wednesday night, the 19-7 Mizzou Tigers are back in action this evening in Lincoln taking on Nebraska. A Tiger win would give them 20 for the 22nd time in school history, and give the program back to back 20 win seasons for the first time since 2002.

The Tigers would get double digit scoring from Kim English and Keith Ramsey in their win on Wednesday night at the Mizzou Arena against Texas. Mizzou would use strong shooting of 58 percent from the floor and 83 percent from the free throw line in the second half to pull off the upset win.

13-13 Nebraska nearly had the same kind of night as they would lead Kansas State by double digits in the first half and by as many as nine in the second half as they tried to upset the Wildcats. The game was even tied with 30 seconds left, but Kansas State was just too strong at home as they pulled out the win.

Mizzou will try to steal their third road conference win of the season in Nebraska. The Tigers lead the nation in steals and forced turnovers per game. This defensive pressure also forces opponents to shoot just 40 percent from the floor and 30 percent from behind the three point line.

This could be another nail biter of a game between these two teams. Four of the last five games between the Tigers and the Huskers in Lincoln have been decided by single digits. If the Tigers do win, it will give them three consecutive wins over Nebraska for the first time since 2005.

A win would also be very important for the Tigers in terms of the conference standings. With the win on Wednesday against Texas, Mizzou is now in a third place tie in the Big 12. The top four teams in conference will automatically get a first round bye in the conference tournament next month in Kansas City.

The Tigers and the Cornhuskers will tip off this evening at 5:05.
